an American Idol hopeful

My niece went to Texas Stadium to audition for American Idol, this morning. I hope she made it to the next level. This is how you know if you REALLY know your family. My brother tells that my niece, Tanebra, is going to try out for American Idol. Deep down inside I was saying WIN THAT THANG!!!!! Outside, I was like; Can she do it?

This was an awakening for me. Because I have always wanted to try out for something that had anything to singing. Who doesn't?

Once, I had tried for this band in Midland, Tx. I wasn't ready but I knew this, 'No effort, no gain'. This band was awesome! They could play ANYTHING. And during my audition, they! Rick James' "Supafreak". When they began playing, I knew that Rick James was more than just a drug addictive singing. He was a true singer.

I sang and left.

But to recap: as Tanebra's uncle, I just want to say this: I hope you make it baby-girl. Uncle believes in you just as much as everyone around you does. Everyone deserves some good in their life.
